NEVER CLOSE SHOP

It starts when you stop giving nice sounding seemingly  'valid' excuses :

Its exam time,
Its test time,
Its a holiday season,
I travelled,
i attended a program
I helped a family/friend.

There's always gonna be a valid excuse for not doing what your suppose to do until you come to the point where you refuse to accept excuses for what your supposed to do.

So i told my leaders,  now that you have a very viable excuse that your cell/fellowship not taking place, i ask you :

The guy that sells cigarettes,  did he close his shop during exams?
The guy that sells weed,  was his joint closed because of a holiday?
The beer parlous and restaurants, did they close up because the owner travelled?
The football viewing centers  betting outlets and movie cinemas remained open also throughout the week, didn't they?

So they all stayed open and most likely even had a boost in sales during these times.

How come you think the only business that should shut down is soul winning/your cell or fellowship?

Understand that its the place you have put the importance of the gospel to men's lives. If you really believed the gospel was important,  you would not have closed shop.

That cell holds only once a week (52 times a year), its your personal ministry to the lord. its the only place where those who have been impacted by your individuality would have come to seek and find answers. Yet you chose to deny them the opportunity, because of a viable excuse to you. You may not know it, but you have subconsciously declared that those business' are more important than Gods divine plan for mankind.

I still remember it like it was yesterday, when the news of Evelyn (4th year political science)taken out by Anaemia,  Clifford(3rd year economics) also taken out by Anaemia, Nafisa (final year law)*car crash on her way home, Yetop (3rd year industrial chemistry)*backache on  holiday season,  and Effizy (final year Fine arts) also died in car crash, these all passed on to eternity. All friends of mine who all had great dreams and aspirations, but never got the opportunity to leave the campus.

Recently the whole world mourned the death of a father, husband and a legendary NBA star who passed on in a helicopter crash, at the young age of 41, no one expected it, no one saw it coming....and in less than 24hours the news of this legends passing, from earth to eternity had rippled through news media outlets.

Did you know, that,  that your cell meeting or fellowship was set up to prepare many for eternity?
Do you know that a certain percentage of those writing exams or tests will never complete their education or even have the opportunity to ever use them?

As a cell leader, fellowship coordinator , campus pastor e.t.c God has sent you ahead of many like joseph to save lives, for many may never have gospel reach them after they leave that campus.

We may just be their final bus terminal for salvation.
 We are the Loveworld campus ministry, we don't understand breaks,  holidays or personal ambitions, rather we understand the urgency of time and we act swiftly.

Dont stop that cell/fellowship meeting for anything in the world. The lord believes in you and chose you for this...don't disappoint Him
